Once you understand how skin wrinkles actually form, it becomes pretty clear how you can erase them without spending a fortune on topical creams, patches or surgeries.

First, just to get us all on the same page, it's important to understand that wrinkles begin to form when we're in our teens. Yes, astonishing but true. And here's why.

Our personalities and habits are pretty well set in place throughout our childhood. We have characteristic frowns, smiles, looks of disapproval or disgust, concentration. These do not tend to change as we get older, barring accidents or traumas. So, holding patterns of facial muscles are pretty well set by our teens.

What do facial muscles have to do with wrinkles? Think about it - a muscle can puff up and stretch the skin on your arms if you lift a lot of weights. But a muscle also pinches skin when you contract it in a frown, for example.

Over time, facial muscles will get tighter or shorter around areas that get a lot of pinching. Between the skin and the muscle is a thin layer of connective tissue or fascia and this also can start to get set and dry out along patterns of pinching.

Now you have muscles and fascia that are working to pull skin together around facial patterns. Slowly, over time, as these work together to draw the skin above them into a wrinkle, what happens? Skin that is tightened get less circulation. Uh oh.

When we're kids, our faces are often very animated. The muscles and fascia and skin can be pinched but then they are stretched open in wonder or peace or the deep relaxation of sleep. Then the circulation can flow easily through the skin and repair or refresh the muscles and skin, restoring the fullness of a child's face.

Over time, as our patterns of expression get set in, the ability of the circulation to flow as easily through the skin tissue is lessened and lessened. With lack of sufficient hydration, dietary no-no's, smoking, trauma, etc., it becomes an uphill battle for the blood supply to restore the fullness of the skin. Wrinkles are the result, the result of time and habits.

Obviously, the best time in life to prevent wrinkles is in our teens. Daily facial massage - especially around areas where wrinkles can be seen with different facial expressions - is a real help. Use olive oil, which skin loves, or almond if the skin is naturally dry or sensitive, or coconut if you like that one.

Besides a good morning or evening rub after washing the face, teens do well to drink enough water to keep hydrated as well as avoid garbage food. If you're young, start now to preserve that precious face.

Okay, we now understand how these things form and, if you're young enough, you can avoid getting wrinkles with simple common-sense practices. But for those of us longer out of our teens, our massage practice needs to be more focused and specific.

Think for a minute about those wrinkles that form above the top lip, the ones seen on the elderly mouths. Those can come over time from smoking, drinking soft drinks through a straw, pursing the lips in thought, these kinds of motions that pinch the lips together. (I wouldn't rule out kissing, since it's so lovely, but it's easy to see how it can contribute to those little lines around the lips.)

First, select the kind of oil that you like best. Sophia Loren always said that her lack of wrinkles into her 70's and 80's was thanks to daily facial olive oil rubs, and most skins like this oil, as do all muscles. If you live in dry zones, you may want to make a blend of oil and rose water for more hydration besides what you get from drinking enough water.

Let me share with you a blend that I've used since my 30's that I believe has helped keep the wrinkles on my face at bay: Into 2 ounces of rose water, add 3 ounces of organic peanut oil, 2 - 3 ounces of organic olive oil and a tablespoon of liquid lanolin. Older skin would appreciate an ounce of wheat germ oil as an anti-aging assist. Dryer or more sensitive skin would like an ounce of sweet almond. There's 7 - 8 ounces of facial bliss that help to restore the vitality of the skin and help rub out the wrinkles according to where they are on the face.

(P.S., Why the peanut oil? Good question. Peanut oil is a food for connective tissue, most of which we think of as around the joints. But remember the fascia, the thin connective layer between the skin and the muscles. This layer helps maintain the lift and tightness of the skin, along with the muscle tone. This blend is also perfect as a full body massage oil, with the peanut assisting other joints in some degree of arthritis prevention, according to the Edgar Cayce readings from which I've adapted this formula.)

The Daily Beautification of Your Precious Face

With the morning or evening regimen, first wash with a gentle soap/cream/cleansing lotion, using either a wash cloth with good fibers or a circle of sponge or loofah to wash away dead skin cells. Use a nice deep circular motion over forehead, cheeks, chin and throat.

Never, ever, ever press or rub around the eyes or temples. The skin tissue around the eyes is too delicate and can easily tear with too harsh a pressure. We would do well to appreciate those smile lines around the eyes, as they are only positive ones on the face.

When you rinse your face, it should feel clean and almost squeaky. If it feels like a film is still coating the skin - like so many commercial soap products do - get another brand. Castile soaps generally are thorough cleansers and leave no coating or residue on the skin.

Dry the face and apply a small amount of oil that you've rubbed over your palms. (The blend I described above needs to be shaken each time, as the contents do separate since there are no junky chemical emulsifiers added.)

Spread the oil over the forehead, cheeks, chin and throat, swiping a little over the eyes but not deeply. Use circular motions with your fingertips to bring up the circulation in these areas and to move the underlying muscles around.

Notice that the throat is included with the daily facial massage. There's no reason that this skin should be allowed to go slack over time if you give it some attention and circulation to keep the skin, muscles and connective tissues healthy.

When massaging the forehead, remember that the muscles that pull the eyebrows up in surprise or down in a frown are vertical muscles. These will relax if you rub across them, left and right, back and forth. Go right up to the hairline and down into the eyebrows with cross rub motions, targeting the muscles underneath the skin.

The cheeks are easy to rub in circles, and make sure to pay a little more attention to the areas in front of the ears where the jaw muscles can get tight with all the stress of living in the 21st Century. Rub up and down on the nose and alongside it, opening the mouth to allow a fuller circulation into a part of the face that hardly moves at all on its own.

To work the muscles around the lips, pull them across the teeth in a closed smile and rub all around the lip border with a fingertip, nice and deep, bringing up some good circulation round and round. Back and forth across the top of the lip and that muscle right under the nose that can get tight and hold wrinkles. If you have lines just starting to form here, you may want to double the massage time to really get the circulation going.

Last, give the throat some nice circular rubs along the side of the neck and front where the vocal cords are. With your thumbs together underneath the chin, press along the underside of the jaw line all the way up to the ear. Do this a few times. It helps stimulate an immune reflex point that we all need these days.

Finish up with a once-over rub of the whole face with your palms on cheeks and fingers on forehead. Visualize the circulation flowing through all the cells of the skin and muscles, refreshing, rejuvenating, revitalizing them all. Feel the youth and beauty flooding into the cells. Mmmmmm.

For More Specific Treatment

To work existing wrinkles in the forehead and around the mouth, you can follow the general facial massage - which only takes a minute - with a more specific treatment of the individual wrinkles.

Dip a Q-tip into the oil and press it against the side of the jar so it doesn't drip. Using a magnifying mirror or just getting close to a mirror, place the tip at the end of a wrinkle with one hand and, with the fingers of the other hand, spread the wrinkle open. Press deeply into the wrinkle with little back and forth motions all along the wrinkle to specifically bring up the circulation along that line.

There's an interesting cosmetic acupuncture treatment for wrinkles that does basically the same thing. With tweezers, tiny filament needles are inserted all along a wrinkle to bring up the blood where it has been pinched off. But you can do the same thing with a Q-tip and nourishing oil. It just takes some time, some patience and lots of love.

Did you know that toilet or restroom phobias are more common than we think? Clinicians classify these phobias as anxiety disorders and a form of social phobias.

After taking an unofficial poll from random individuals regarding their thoughts about public restrooms this question was asked, "Can you name one of your biggest pet peeves when using public restrooms?" Interestingly, before they answered the question, simultaneously a strange and sudden snarl of the lip along with a look of disgust appeared.

Germaphobia is one of the conditions that heighten restroom anxiety especially when patrons are dining in a popular eating establishment. The following pet peeves are, but not limited to the overall concern patrons have with public restrooms, whether it's in a department store, movie theater, sports stadium, office building, or interstate rest area.

1. Foul odor

2. Empty toilet paper dispenser

3. Empty soap dispenser

4. Wads of paper on the floor

5. Empty paper towel dispenser

6. Overflowing wastebaskets

7. Filthy toilets and urinals

8. Dirty floors and discolored build up on tile grout

If any of these answers sound remotely familiar to you, guess what? You are not alone. One often wonders about the type of hygienic habits many individuals practice at home when they do not respectfully use public bathrooms as we expect them to or have the common courtesy to avoid leaving a repulsive mess afterward. People should not simply assume that someone else is paid to clean up their mess that looks like a crime scene when they are done.

Fear and anxiety resulting in such phobias work on the mind and sends signals where the imagination envisions invisible germ monsters permeating through the air, creeping from the pores, cracks, and crevices in walls, floors, vents, toilets, and door handles. Such anxiety disorders can mimic traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or agoraphobia.

Parcopresis is a type of phobia where sufferers fear sitting down on toilets or being confined to the tightly enclosed space of the bathroom stall, with the inability to defecate in public toilets. Paruresis is a disorder affecting individuals who are unable to urinate regardless of how much discomfort they may be in.

Such symptoms can be stressful and crippling, but there are treatments for these disorders such as hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Business establishments have an obligation to provide and maintain clean restroom hygiene which is a direct reflection of their overall customer service ethic.

Phobia is a kind of anxiety disorder and a deep irrational fear which causes panic on coming in contact with the source of the fear. This persistent fear of a situation or object can last over six months. The affected person tries his level best to avoid the object or situation to a greater extent than the actual danger. If the person is unable to avoid the situation or object, he suffers from considerable distress. A person can develop phobias in innumerable situations or objects.

Causes of Phobia

Environmental and genetic factors result in phobias. Children who are prone to anxiety disorders are at a greater risk of developing these phobias. Extreme heights, confined spaces, exposure to insect or animal bites, or a distressing event like near drowning could be a source of such phobias. Even those people with chronic medical conditions such as substance abuse, depression, or brain injuries are prone to developing these phobias.

Nutrition experts are buzzing about the Nordic diet. As the name suggests, the Nordic diet consists of foods that are locally sourced and traditionally eaten in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

Typically, the Nordic diet includes whole-grain cereals such as rye, barley, and oats; berries and other fruits; vegetables especially cabbage and root vegetables like potatoes and carrots; fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and herring; and legumes (beans and peas).

Many call it the New Nordic Diet, which has become a new food culture developed in 2009-13 with a key emphasis on gastronomy, health, and environment. The New Nordic Diet is based on Nordic ingredients but is adaptable all over the world.

Contrary to the Mediterranean diet, which includes olive oil, it favors rapeseed oil (canola oil), which is high in healthy monounsaturated fat. And it also contains some alpha-linolenic acid, a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid similar to the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish.

Canola oil can help to reduce bad LDL cholesterol and the risk of heart disease and stroke. It's possible that canola oil may be better at reducing bad cholesterol and improving heart health. The diet emphasizes cutting out processed foods and most high-fat meats like sausage or bacon.

Health benefits of the Nordic diet -

Its health-related benefits are enumerated below:

• A major review by the World Health Organization (WHO) found that both Mediterranean and Nordic diets reduce the risk of cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

• The diet could also contribute to weight loss. A University of Eastern Finland study also found that the diet down-regulates the expression of genes associated with inflammation, which is thought to contribute to many chronic health problems and play a role in obesity.

• Processed foods are more palatable, which results in overeating and weight gain. Since the Nordic diet de-emphasizes consumption of processed foods, it prevents over-eating and resultant weight gain.

• Eating more of a plant-based diet is better for the environment as there are far fewer greenhouse gas emissions. About 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions come from livestock production. It has been reported that factory farming for meat production contributes more to global warming than all planes, trains, buses, and cars combined.

The Crux -

The Mediterranean diet has been considered to be the best so far as health benefits it is believed to offer. Now there is another diet making its mark in the culinary world so far as its health benefits are concerned. This is the Nordic diet.

In many ways, it is very similar to the Mediterranean diet but relies on rapeseed (canola) oil instead of olive oil. It also differs in its selection of types of products, which are cultivated locally, depending on the region's climate, soil, and water.

Hence it encompasses both the health and well-being of the individual and environmental sustainability.

From the culture, eating unconsciously happens most after supper. You merely eat, and also you plop back on the sofa.  Why honey is the superior choice over processed sugar.

As a chiropractor, nutritional advice is a regular part of my day. Questions regarding a specific type of diet are numerous. What is interesting though, is almost every patient will tell me how they are eliminating sugar from their diet. Many have chosen to consume more honey in place of processed sugar. Sometimes it is helpful to have the necessary information available prior to making these healthy changes.

Is sugar addictive?

Yes, maybe even more than cocaine! Sugar has an effect on the opiate receptors in our body. These receptors are linked to the reward portion of our brain and lead to compulsive behavior, even though our brain is aware of the negative consequences.

Is honey a good alternative to honey?

Definitely. Honey has known positive effects on conditions such as coughs, indigestion, burns, wounds, flu, and infections. It also contains nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Honey has an extremely long shelf life and is used by many as a "superfood".

Does honey have antibacterial properties?

For sure. Honey has an enzyme that actually converts to hydrogen peroxide when in the presence of oxygen. The hydrogen peroxide dissolves bacterial cell membranes, thus, destroying the bacteria.

Does honey burn energy like sugar?

No, honey is completely different in that aspect. Unlike sugar, honey does not produce a crash and burn outcome. Honey is burned in a slow fashion which avoids a surge in energy followed by the inevitable crash. Enzymes in honey tend to help the body regulate the way it chooses to use sugar.

What diseases are caused by sugar?

Besides weight gain and eventual fatigue, processed sugar has been linked to cancer, stomach problems, diabetes, and heart disease. Remember, these maladies are not just from processed sugar. Many sugar substitutes produce the same diseases.

Will any honey do?

Granted, almost all honey is an improvement over-processed sugar, all honey is not created equal. Honey produced in an organic, or pesticide-free environment is the way to go. More and more research supports the benefits of using honey produced locally. This is quite beneficial to the allergy prevention properties.

Well, why isn't honey used more?

The answer to this question can be summed up in one word, profit. Like most natural products, honey is not something that is trademarked, patented, and produced chemically. Without those components, there is no major money to be had. Just take a look at the advertising that is targeted towards consumers, especially kids! Everything has processed sugar and feeds on our senses and emotions. One company is unable to corner the market on a natural product such as honey. If they ever do, take a look at the full ingredient list!

Cliched tricks that work- Simple things are not easy

You must have heard or read that in order to achieve any big goal, you must set smaller goals first. As far as weight loss is concerned, setting goals is even simpler than choosing small steps for other goals such as financial, career-related, or any other specific goal. However, simple things are often not easy. For example, waking up early is simple, but not easy. Quitting smoking is simple, but is it really easy? No.

Quitting bad habits is simple but not easy- Don't be a slave to your habits

It goes without saying that you often follow your habitual eating habits, sleeping patterns, and general lifestyle. That is what makes achieving your weight loss goal difficult. You are unknowingly a slave to your habits or bad habits to be precise. Those who can break their bad habits and pick up healthy habits fast are the ones who achieve their goals easily and fast. When it comes to changing habits, your mind power plays a great role, and boosting your mind power becomes the real challenge. That is when you need something or someone to keep you motivated.

Changing habits with technology

One of the best ways to be healthy, relieve chronic pain, attain a desirable weight and promote longevity is through our diet. Unfortunately, many of us have been given the wrong information on what, how, and when to eat. This article will describe an alkaline anti-inflammatory diet, why it is so good for our health, and how to utilize this natural nutritional approach.

To begin a little human history is in order. For most of the history of humans on this planet, we were nomadic. We traveled around the globe in search of large mammals that could be killed and eaten. Alternatively, humans herded mammals such as goats, sheep, reindeer, and other cattle that required traveling to abundant pasture lands. Our ancestors ate a lot of meat and fat. They did not stay in one place for very long, therefore they were not able to farm. They did collect vegetables, a small amount of fruit, and a very small amount of grains. There were very few starchy carbs such as cereal, bread, pasta, and other grains in their diet. It wasn't until about 5000 years ago when the Egyptians began to farm that humans began to have a large number of starchy carbohydrates to eat.

Now, let's introduce some very simple and easy-to-understand biochemistry. We have all heard of fish oil and its main component of omega-3 fatty acids sometimes called omega-3 oils. Most know that these omega-3 oils are good for us. Another, sometimes overlooked, oil is omega 6 fatty acid. When our ancestors were nomadic and ate few starchy, carbohydrates their diet consisted of an approximately 1:1 ratio of omega-3 and omega-six fatty acids. This ratio is very healthy for the body. It makes the body more alkaline versus acidic. The more alkaline we are the healthier we will be.

However, if we become imbalanced in our omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids we become more acidic and have more inflammation in the body. More inflammation leads to chronic pain, weight gain, and lifestyle-related diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular problems, arthritis, and other disease processes that affect us today. When we eat high amounts of carbohydrates such as wheat, corn, and rice we are ingesting foods with more omega 6 fatty acids. These may create a ratio imbalance of 1:10 omega-3 versus omega 6 fatty acids or more. Potato chips, for instance, have a 1:60 ratio of omega-3 versus omega 6 fatty acids.

The inflammation created by an improper balance of omega oils from too many carbohydrates creates a systemic, general inflammation in the body. Conversely, a diet lower in carbohydrates, promoting a ratio more in line with 1:1 fatty acids allows the body to heal and function more optimally.

A very simple way to achieve an alkaline anti-inflammatory diet is to simply eat fewer starchy carbs. If one were to consume 100-200 grams per day of products containing grains this would lead to a healthier lifestyle. Certainly, this diet would include high amounts of vegetables and a reasonable amount of foods containing proteins and fats like eggs, meats, fish, and nuts. It is also recommended that this diet be low in sweets and sugar, like candy, cookies, soda, sports drinks, and cakes and pies.

This diet does not have to be excessively stringent. Most people who do not have serious metabolic diseases could certainly afford to have a "cheat day" or two each week when they could exceed the 100-200 grams of starchy carbohydrates and some sweets.

Not all healthcare practitioners or nutritionists will necessarily subscribe to what has been detailed here. However, there are many books and healthcare practitioners who align themselves with this plan. Some of these would include The South Beach Diet, The Paleolithic Diet, The Keto Diet, and The Mediterranean Diet.

People interested in this dietary approach can certainly find an expert who can give them more guidance.

Most people utilizing an alkaline anti-inflammatory diet will find they have improved health in a reasonable period of time. Many of us who initially utilized this approach found that within a year we reached a desirable weight, eliminated chronic pains, had increased energy and better sleep. While an alkaline anti-inflammatory diet may not be mainstream there is certainly enough scientific and anecdotal evidence for one to investigate this lifestyle.

Fact: The duration of the diet intake depends on your health and fitness goals. In most cases, the standard period is between three to five months. After this phase, you may revert to your regular eating patterns for some weeks.

Myth 6: There is no Science behind the Diet

Facts: Several scientific studies support the Ketogenic diet. For instance, particular research shows that the diet was initially created to help epileptic patients regulate seizures. Additionally, the diet helps reduce or maintain body weight.

Myth 7: Rich in a Lot of Fats and Proteins

Fact: The diet doesn't contain high fats and proteins. Depending on one's training goals, the macronutrient is apportioned based on individual requirements. For example, the typical macronutrient split for this diet includes low carbs, high fat, and moderate protein.

Myth 8: Causes Heart Attack

Fact: Keto diet encompasses the intake of saturated fats, which doesn't cause a heart attack.

Final Thoughts

This diet can help you improve your fitness and health goals. If you want to succeed from the diet, it is vital to scrutinize the myths surrounding the diet and adopt evidence-based facts.

Keto lunch ideas can help you stick to your weight loss plan. There is a lot of debate on the effects of ketosis in the body. Can ketosis lead to cancer? What are the long-term consequences?

The short answer: No. But that doesn't mean it's not a good idea to stay away from it. Here's why:

When you eat a low carbohydrate diet, ketosis occurs. This occurs when your body cannot break down certain carbohydrates for energy. The ketones created to take the place of glucose and other sugars. It's been studied that ketosis can contribute to the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Most people are aware that weight loss is an ongoing battle. As you lose weight, your metabolism slows down and you may find it difficult to exercise regularly. This means you may have less energy than you used to. That can have an effect on your diet plan.

Your body does not always get enough energy from carbohydrates. You may need to add more protein to your diet plan. Protein shakes or a high-protein food can be a great way to add protein. Make sure you do this slowly so you don't make it a big ordeal. If you add too much, you may find yourself wanting to cut out protein.

This is also why it is important to think about eating several smaller meals throughout the day. Eat a big meal at lunchtime and another smaller one before dinner. You can keep ketosis at bay by eating several small meals throughout the day. Eating larger meals less often may keep your metabolism in check better.

When you get hungry, reach for a bag of chicken salad with low-fat dressing on your plate. Be sure to use the low-fat dressing. If you add too much salad, you will add calories, which will bring your ketosis up even further. Use tuna wraps for wraps on your tacos or salads for a healthier option.

Be sure to check in with your doctor before you start any new diet plan. It's a good idea to speak with your physician. They can help you evaluate what your needs are. It is also a good idea to have a support group. Having people who are also trying to achieve the same goal can make it easier to stay motivated and on track.

If you enjoy a healthy diet, then the Atkins diet might be right for you. It has been shown to be effective in helping to lose weight. One thing to remember though, that you will still be eating a lot of carbs.

In order to stick with your lunch plan, be sure to eat frequently throughout the day. It will keep you from feeling hungry during the day and will prevent you from over-eating at lunch.

If you enjoy eating fruits, one of the better healthy lunch ideas out there is going to be fruits. You can either eat an apple or orange, or you can combine an apple and an orange for awesome breakfast food. Don't limit yourself to just fruit though. You can also add some nuts and seeds to your diet as well.

Ditching the traditional lunch box and replacing it with healthy food will help bring your ketosis levels down. It is important to be aware that even though you are on a ketosis diet, you don't want to starve yourself.

So while you are doing this, you should still eat plenty of veggies. You can add them to a salad, eat a whole wheat bagel with hummus or eat carrots and celery with a low-fat dressing on it.

There are plenty of other ketosis lunch ideas. There are even some that involve making your own delicious meals. This is great because you can add whatever ingredients you find around your home to your lunch box. The most popular lunch meals include chicken, fish, and beef.

Keto diets have shown to be effective because they keep your body in check, so it never goes off track. They are very good for people who are starting to go through the withdrawals that come with any type of diet.

Remember that starting out on a ketosis diet will cause your metabolism to slow down. You will also need to make sure that you are drinking enough water throughout the day.

 Not Interested

For the past 8 months, I have been following the Medical Medium way of eating. I had bought a few of his books, like his thyroid healing book, but never read it because my thyroid test results came into range and have stayed that way for a few years now. So I sold his books because I knew he believed that viruses were the root cause of a lot of diseases, especially Epstein Barr Virus, and I had had this and test results showed it; I felt powerless at the thought that a virus had so much power over my health.

Interested

Then after starting therapy using Logosynthesis with Anni Reynolds, she casually asked me if I knew about the Medical Medium way of eating and I dismissed it, saying yes, I wasn't really interested in it.

Keto Didn't Work for Me

Then I happened upon some information that brought his way of eating back on my radar, I learned that cutting out carbs, which I had done by eating the Wheat Belly way, then eating Paleo and Keto, can cause thyroid issues. I then came across other people who had said they too had ended up with health issues cutting out carbs. (In my recovery from hyperthyroidism I ate anything I wanted, including lots of cake and biscuits, because it was hard enough to eat as it was as I had no appetite).

So I read Medical Medium's first book, which was an overview of his way of eating, and listened to most of his podcasts, and looked at his website. And I came to understand that you could slowly work on eliminating the viruses from your body and that certain foods were healing.

I had felt discouraged about food and its healing power because I considered I was already eating healthy and it did nothing but make me sicker. I soon came to realize that cutting out certain food groups was the problem.

Celery Juice

I started juicing celery immediately, working out that half a bunch of celery in the morning was my sweet spot, where I didn't detox too fast and my body could handle it.

The Medical Medium is about to release a book about celery juice.

Within a week most of my digestive symptoms were gone, namely bloating and acid reflux. I have celery juice most mornings, in the early days I used to miss the odd day because I felt I needed a break, now I don't have such strong detox symptoms.

It also took me a while to get my head around his Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie which I try to have most days. One of the ingredients is Dulse and I make it into capsules and have it that way, as having it in the smoothie made me feel quite nauseous when I had it in the smoothie. You can have all the ingredients separately, as long as you have them all within a 24 hour period.

Fruit

He's big on eating Fruit. We have really been brainwashed to believe that Fruit is bad, and having more fruit in my diet has really helped with sugar cravings. There's a feeling of satiation that I get eating this way, that I never had following any other protocol.

Vegetarian

In the last half a week I have decided to go Vegetarian. I eat about 90% vegetarian anyway and I'm feeling less and less like eating meat and chicken and realized by not committing to it, I was not able to look into other foods that might make me feel fuller, coming up to Winter. Things like vegan hamburger patties, creating meals that are heavier.

Liver Rescue

His new book about how to help your Liver is very in-depth and has a 369 protocol for detoxing. I haven't tried it yet because some of the ingredients are seasonal, like asparagus. So I'll wait until later in the year.

He has everything you need to know on his website, the best supplements to take, recipes, videos of recipes, blog posts, podcasts, and Facebook groups are very helpful for asking questions of fellow Medical Medium followers.

I definitely feel clearer-headed and have less pain in my body eating this way.

 Medical Medium

I had been eating the Medical Medium way for a few years, and I considered myself pescatarian, ate whole food plant based, and ate no dairy, meat, poultry or eggs.

Diagnosis

6 weeks ago I decided to go see a medical herbalist, Richard Whelan, I had wanted to see him for years but I think I wasn't prepared to face what he might say about my health. My goal was to get my high blood pressure seen to alternatively, and I had not long been diagnosed with high cholesterol.

Well I got a bit of a shock, he did quite a few blood tests, by pricking my finger and running it through machines and looking at it under the microscope. Listening to my heart beat and taking my blood pressure.

He said as soon as he saw me he knew I had metabolic syndrome, which is a combination of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and holding weight around your middle area that's so stubborn that everything you try won't budge it. And I had tried so much, as well as exercise. Nothing shifted those numbers.

He said it wasn't a case of if I get diabetes, but when. He considered me pre-diabetic.

I was speechless, I mumbled that I thought I ate really well and healthy, that I did like refined sugar but for the most part I wasn't out of control.

So he gave me some herbs for my liver and some other vitamins and herbs to take, magnesium acetate, chromium, vitamin b complex, st marys thistle and hawthorn and reishi

Keto

He then said he wanted me to eat Keto.

I was like "Keto?????" what????

I was aghast, I said that Keto is what had thrown my thyroid out 4 years ago, going low carb.

So he asked me what I was prepared to do, I said I was prepared to research it. And he was happy about that.

Thyroid and Keto

So I got to doing research solidly for about a week. He had suggested I sign up to dietdoctor.com which I did.

And I spent a lot of time trying to work out why keto wouldn't throw my thyroid out again like it had done.

Then I got to work out why it happened.

I had been eating dirty keto. Which is basically just eating all the fatty foods like sausages and bacon and meat and eggs, and none of the vegetables.

I spent quite a bit of time exploring vegan keto and decided it would be too hard.

So I brought some meat, eggs, and other foods, and throwing out most things from my cupboards that had higher carbs. It was very hard to throw out my old foods which I considered healthy.

What I have come to find out though, is that those foods are healthy for some people, just the same as keto doesn't work for everyone.

Stomach Upset

So, I seemed to do quite well the first few weeks, I went into the keto flu stage as my body was adapting, then I was struck down with diarrhea.

I went off all my vitamins and herbs. After 10 days I went back to my old way of eating to see if it was perhaps the fat, perhaps I had changed my diet way too fast instead of slowly adding foods.

I did a food tracker and was about to make an appt with my doctor when I came right.

So I OK for a week then this past weekend it started again. I dissected what I had been eating and finally, I could work out what it was that was causing it because it was going to suck if it was the fats.

It was sucralose. The sweetener that was in the Powerade zero I was using for electrolytes when I was feeling keto flu. Which was a vicious circle, because I would think I would need to be replacing electrolytes because of diarrhea and then drink more.

Moving Forward

I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks but I was starting to steadily lose weight, and this morning I measured my waist and I have lost 15.5cm in a month.

I really do like eating keto. It's very satiating. I have introduced some dairy but not much. I am eating chicken mostly, some meat, and eggs. But this time I am eating a lot more vegetables than I was doing last time.

I had a blood test a few weeks ago and my thyroid is in range and my liver results are all in the range too, something I haven't seen for the 4 years I have been having blood tests.

I will give you updates on how I am going from time to time.

Postscript: 5 months after starting keto I started to have anxiety and went for a blood test. Sure enough, what I feared would happen, I'm early stages of hyperthyroidism, I have upped my carbs, and have an appointment to see Richard in early February 2021. I have lost 12kg.

 Past Eating

I have been through a progression of eating styles over the last 4-5 years. I was eating the Wheat Belly diet, then I was eating Keto, and then my thyroid went out of whack which I now attribute to eating Keto (low carb), and I have since heard of a lot of people who the same thing happened with reduced carbs.

I then ate everything and anything during my recovery from hyperthyroidism, I had a period of time where I allowed myself to eat what I wanted when I wanted, and there was a lot of healing around body shame and shame around food. I felt like it was a pendulum swing back from such a restricted way of eating.

Then I found the Medical Medium and my health started to improve a lot. During that time I cut out eating meat and chicken and ate vegan 90% of the time, with just eggs and fish being two foods I didn't want to give up.

5:2 Intermittent Fasting

For the last month, I have been following the 5:2 Diet. I don't really like calling it a diet because it's really a lifestyle. It was first made popular by Michael Mosley, a British journalist. I watched his documentary and I was hooked.

It's all centered around Intermittent Fasting. There are a few types of Intermittent fasting, but the 5:2 Diet is eating normally for 5 days a week and fasting on 500 calories for women, and 600 calories for men, on 2 days a week (based on 1/4 of your daily calorie allowance). A lot of people find this way of eating easier to achieve than the usual restrictive calorie diet.

Health Benefits and Weight Loss

I have long let go of my focus being weight loss, if it happens then so be it, but the health benefits of eating this way have been well documented. In particular, I'm wanting to see what effect it has on my high blood pressure.

A lot of people have lost weight eating this way, and it's known to improve metabolic health. When your body isn't digesting all the time, then it can get to repairing and regenerating.

One of the things I liked about this way of eating is that it tricks your body into not feeling restricted and then going into starvation mode and storing fat. In other diets I've been on I would never lose any weight because of this.

Low Carb But Not Keto

I've now worked out what my body feels the most comfortable eating on these 2 days, and it has made the process easier. I have found foods that make me full but yet are low in calories. And I'm not eating Keto either but aiming for Whole Food Plant-Based. In the beginning, it was hard, but tweaking my meals made it easier.

What Days To Fast

I was fasting Tuesday and Saturday but found that I needed to change it because Friday's I have my PT session and I needed more food on Saturday to recover. So I've moved to Monday and Thursday.

Non-Fast Days

I haven't really found that I binge on the NFD (nonfast days) and something I have come to notice is how much more I love food and enjoy it on the NFD. And not in an obsessive way, but more an appreciation and enjoyment.

It's not meant to be a free for on the NFD, you don't have to count calories, but you do have to be conscious of what you are eating.

Support

I belong to a Facebook group for this diet and a lot of people mention they can go all day not eating and eat all their calories at dinner, but I can't. I get too hangry. lol, I have to have 3 meals, so I've worked out how best to do that. The groups are a great support and you pick up ideas for what to eat. I also bought 3 books about this way of eating, and 2 of them are for vegetarians.

I use myfitnesspal app to count the calories. I use the bar code scanner when I'm at the supermarket to get a sense of what calorie value foods have. I came into this having never counted calories before.

It's early days for me yet so I will keep you posted on how it goes.

(If you are considering this way of eating, please consult your doctor, and it's not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, people with blood sugar issues, people with eating disorders)

Let me know if you're interested in eating this way or you are already.

Can you get skin tags on your face, is a simple question to which there is a simple answer. Yes!

But if you find one that is quite long, or that one is starting to develop, should you be worried? No. Relax!

The answer is almost always, no! Only very rarely indeed is there a deeper problem. Skin tags are tiny growths of skin normally found on the face, hands or feet. The tags generally hang off the skin by a thin connecting stalk. You no doubt dislike having that thing, but skin tags are not normally a threat to your health. Read on to find out more.

Facial tags may be annoying, and more so on the face as they are likely to be seen by those that you meet, but there is no need to panic. The direct cause of facial them is a growth of flesh, which is also known as a "benign tumor".

However, most people are not aware of this problem and hence do not think of the underlying causes with the result that they don't look after themselves as they should. Most dermatologists say that keeping yourself healthy through a balanced diet is the best way to avoid them.

Removing Skin Tags Including from Your Face

If you want to remove a skin tag at home, follow these simple guidelines. The process is simple and safe.

Here Is How to Remove a Facial Skin Tag Without Harm

A "tag" on the face is basically harmless. They are only formed when the skin folds and the growth is outwards. The worst thing about them though is of course that they can so easily be seen on the face. Very few people will see them when, as they often do, they appear on underarms, armpits, your back, or your chest, let alone on the groin area!

However, you cannot just pick up your tag and remove it without the assistance of an expert. If the face skin tag becomes infected then you may have to go for surgery. The decision to remove a skin tag should not be taken in a hurry. If you remove it in haste, you may cause permanent scarring. Also, you really must wash your hands properly before you ever attempt to remove a tag.

More on How to Remove a Skin Tag on Your Face

There are many ways to remove a tag. The first way, and the most common way, is to use a thread around the base of it. We do recommend that in that way you remove it by cutting off its blood supply. A thread is pulled around the skin tag till it comes out of the skin. Once the supply of blood stops, it falls off almost immediately.

You should not use any sharp object to pull the thread. If you do so, there is a high chance of causing infection to the skin tag.

The second way is to make use of an aloe vera plant. Just take the leaf from the plant and tie it to the tag with a thread. Make sure that you do not leave any extra thread. When you tighten the thread, the aloe vera is known to go into the bloodstream in it and reduce the tag. This method is said to be as effective as the first method in terms of effectiveness.

You should remember too that you should not use any sharp object to remove a facial tag. Nor should you grasp it with your fingernail. Some say that they carefully pull the skin tag with a fingernail to remove it or use a pair of cutters or clippers. Using is not advisable, as a pair of cutters or clippers is too violent an action. We say that especially for a facial tag, it may tear off leaving a small scar when it heals.

They say that there is no need to worry about the pain as it is quite mild. But, that's not the point. We have no doubt that the wound will usually heal in the due course of time all by itself. Maybe on some parts of the body, a tiny scar would not concern you. But, for us, we would not risk it on our face. A dermatologist is the best expert to help you remove them.

It is also advised that you take good care of your facial skin tags or they may bleed if they rub against clothing etc. You should try to make sure that they don't touch your clothes. Letting clothes rub them may make them bleed and you may create a bigger problem.

The main causes of pigmentation are:

· Long or frequent exposure to the sun

· Ageing

· Hormonal changes that cause melanin production increase

· Genetic conditions

· Medications like anti-depressants or birth control pills.

Multiple factors including age, climate change, hormonal factors, etc damage the skin and make it look older owing to a patchy pigmentation. Though neither hyperpigmentation nor hypopigmentation is life-threatening conditions by themselves, they are enough to disturb the mind of the patient as many a time along with the skin tone, their confidence gets affected.

Pigmentation is most often seen in people who step out in the sun, exposing the skin to the harmful UV rays from the skin. The first symptoms are the dull and prematurely aged look and it is observed on body parts like the neck, back, arms in addition to the face.

Hormonal imbalance too can be a reason for pigmentation, in women, this can be triggered by birth control pills or pregnancy. Medical conditions like eczema, dermatitis can also be a cause for pigmentation.

At Medlounges Express center, a preferred provider of one of the best skincare treatments in Kerala, we go the extra mile to understand the condition of the skin and offer custom-designed methodologies for pigmentation treatment in Kochi.

The first step is always a thorough diagnosis by way of analyzing the skin to understand the reason for pigmentation and then only is the treatment advice offered.

For the pigmentation treatment in Kochi, the services we adopt are:

Cosmelan: This is a unique depigmentation chemical treatment using multiple ingredients to reduce skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation on specific areas of the skin. Cosmelan peel decreases the natural melanin production of the skin by curtailing specific enzymes thereby contributing to an even complexion.

This Cosmelan peel can be effectively used to improve the skin tone of the face, abdomen, legs, and hands. In addition to this, this pigmentation treatment can be used to rectify the discoloration due to hormonal changes and changes in skin tone due to pregnancy, etc. This peel also helps balance the oil production of the skin thereby reducing the outbreak of acne.

Dermamelan: When compared, Dermamelan has similar active ingredients as Cosmelan. The difference is in the higher concentration of up to 20% and that the mask treatment, as well as follow-up, mandates the strict supervision of a trained cosmetic doctor. The safety margin is quite high in Dermamelan and it also guarantees the improvement of skin blemishes better than any other pigmentation treatment method adopted. A noticeable significant change is observed within almost a week and the skin starts looking more bright and rejuvenated. By the end of the treatment, almost all blemishes become a happily forgotten memory.

If you're wondering what CBD gummy vitamins are, they're nothing more than a combination of resveratrol and a variety of natural sugars. The way they work is through a process called synergy.

Basically, it's an all-natural, easy-to-take, highly concentrated blend of potent ingredients that are formulated to provide the body with everything it needs for healthy, glowing skin.

If you've ever wondered how CBD gummy vitamins can make your skin look so amazing, you'll want to find out what the secret is. Find out more about this powerful formula now.

It goes without saying that good skincare is vital to overall health. It's also no accident that CBD gummy vitamins are ideal for improving skin health.

In fact, when it comes to treating skin diseases such as acne and psoriasis, they're just about perfect. That's because they combine the most effective ingredients on the market with a carefully balanced ratio of vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial antioxidants.

So what are the ingredients? They include a special proprietary blend of natural proteins called Cynergy TK and Nanobelle Coenzyme Q10. They're a highly beneficial pair of ingredients that will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

When you're getting older, your body's production of these two tissues decreases dramatically. What they do is replace it with new cells.

They'll also keep your skin looking radiant and supple. They're packed with vitamin E and several other important nutrients, including the protein grouping known as keratin.

They're a great source of essential fatty acids, which are vital to cell membranes and other functions. They're also rich in other vitamins and minerals.

The big thing that makes CBD gummy vitamins so special is that they contain the protein and enzyme mixture called Functional Keratin. It's been shown to significantly increase the production of collagen and elastin.

When you get older, there are usually no other noticeable benefits to using them, unless you're a sports fan or a man who plays professional basketball. When I'm in my 30's, I use them to help prevent wrinkles, firm up dry skin and tighten up sagging skin.

They're not just for the ladies though. They're also great for men. Guys sometimes have issues with sagging skin beneath their hairline or on the face.

If you want to look younger and fresher, but have problems with aging skin, this can be the solution for you. They're not just for women though.

If you want to look younger and fresher, but have problems with wrinkled, sagging skin, this can be the solution for you.

If you want to make sure that you're using the product you're supposed to, try using one with a good amount of Vitamins C and E. It should also contain Phytessence Wakame.

This stops the harmful enzymes from converting the vitamin into its free form, which means it won't run into too many problems with either color or taste.

It's important to use these ingredients if you want to make sure that your skin doesn't age too quickly.

Now you know what these CBD gummy vitamins can do. As with anything else, there are certain things you should avoid, such as those with any kind of sugar or starch.

That's because they can cause your body to feel unhealthy. If you stick with the products with the vitamins and nothing else, you shouldn't have any problems.

To improve the skin you have, you should look for products with Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10. It's a natural antioxidant that's been proven effective in preventing wrinkles from developing.

It's also a great moisturizer. If you're having a problem with dry skin, then this is definitely something you should add to your routine. It can remove years from your appearance.

When you're looking for a good moisturizer, you may want to make sure that you look for something with avocado oil. It will keep your skin soft and hydrated, even during the times when you don't want it to.

It's packed with nutrients, including essential fatty acids and amino acids. This will give your skin a boost and keep you hydrated. You'll start to notice that your complexion looks better and your fine lines and wrinkles are less noticeable.

As you can see, there are many things to consider when it comes to CBD gummy vitamin benefits. These are not only beneficial to the body, but they're also good for the face!

Just remember to consult a doctor before taking any product. It's important that you stay on top of your health and wellness.

Using a detoxifying sheet mask can help in clearing out all the accumulated debris from the outer layers. It delicately removes all the toxins leaving you to feel nourished and soft. Look for organic masks that contain elements such as algae and charcoal that clear and soothe your face and restoring its natural health and shine.

4. Great Remedy for Acne

If you are acne-prone, it means you have sensitive skin. Organic face masks are an excellent option for you because they can clear and prevent acne without being harsh on your face. If you often experience breakouts and inflammation, use a product that includes aloe vera or algae, as these ingredients are excellent for treating irritated skin.

5. Anti-Aging / Anti-Wrinkle Properties

We cannot turn back time, and as we age, it starts to show in our physical bodies. But using organic cosmetics and products can help you age with grace. For someone who suffers from pre-mature wrinkles, a facial mask can help reduce their appearance. Look for components such as green tea, which are known to have anti-aging properties. Along with using these products, you should also follow a healthy diet and lifestyle, get enough sleep, cover yourself when you step out in the hot sun, and drink lots of water. These precautions, along with a proper skincare routine, will help prevent pre-mature wrinkles.

Facial sheet masks are made from sheer materials that come soaked in a nutrition-rich solution known as serum. The sheets are available in a variety of materials such as fibers, fabrics, papers, etc. Don't confuse them for face masks which are usually pasted types that you apply and keep on for a while and then rinse off with water. Each sheet mask can be worn only once and disposed of afterward. Unlike the past, these are easy and convenient to use. You can put them on at night and take them off in the morning.

HISTORY OF SHEET MASKS

Korean women are known for their porcelain-clear skin. They are known for their commitment to skincare. This fabulous product is their invention, and today it is widely popular all over the world. The beauty industry in America has started manufacturing these facial sheets, and you can see many celebrities vouching for them. As per studies, the use of these masks has risen by a substantial rate in America.

HOW TO USE SHEET MASKS

It is a very simple and easy process. Wipe your face clean and put it on for 30 minutes. Then remove and be amazed by your glowing complexion. You can use it throughout the week. The organic ones do not contain any harmful chemicals, so you can use them every day. The advantage of using this product is that you can put it on any time - whether you are reading, listening to podcasts, cooking, or cleaning. You cannot be too busy to try it. Contrary to popular belief, you should not wash your face after taking it off.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

As mentioned above, the material comes soaked in a concentrated serum that contains several nutrients that are beneficial to the skin. Vitamins and hyaluronic acid are two of the primary components in the serum. These stay dissolved in the serum and are absorbed by the fabric. The material is such that it does not allows the serum to evaporate quickly, giving your skin enough time to absorb all the nutrients. Hence this mask is far more efficient than the traditional serum solutions that easily get evaporated when applied.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The first and foremost benefit is that it hydrates your skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple like a baby's skin. The solution is filled with lots of vitamins and minerals that restore your face's health and glow. The paste-type mask can cause dryness, whereas the fabric sheets help restore and enhance the suppleness. This cosmetic is also inexpensive compared to spa treatments. It is also a convenient and easy way to brighten and tighten your skin.

ARE THERE ANY NEGATIVE EFFECTS?

Beauty products contain some amount of chemicals, so always check the label to see if it contains any ingredient that you might be allergic to. But if you are using an organic brand, there is no need for any concern. And always make sure you are buying from a trusted and reputable label known for its quality products.

Work from home does not mean you show up for zoom meetings looking miserable. Since this will be our new normal for a while, we need to align ourselves accordingly. Video calls are inevitable; you need to find a flattering camera angle and make the correct use of natural lighting to look like a million dollars. And since you will be sitting close to the camera, you also need to make sure that you put forward your best face.

We have put together a 10-minute guide to help you look fresh and lively on camera:

1. SET AN EVEN SKIN TONE

When we are in the digital HD world, the spots and blemishes on your face become clearly visible on screen. Even a tiny spot on the face can stand out. If you are too conscious of these dots and spots, it might ruin your interaction with others. To prevent this, use a lightweight foundation or a BB cream to even out your tone.

2 EYELINER BEFORE A CALL

An eyeliner can instantly brighten up your face. It makes the eyes pop up, draws attention away from the problem areas, and makes you look more vibrant and brighter. If you adjust the natural light to fall on your face, you don't need any other products except a bit of liner and mascara to instantly glam you up.

3 NATURAL TINTS FOR PLUMPER LIPS

Everyone is crushing on lip tints these days. They make your lips look naturally richer and smooth. It is minimal, translucent, and enhances the glow on your face. Pick a shade that blends in with your natural tone.

4. SLEEK AND SMOOTH TRESSES

The current hair trend is to leave the hair open and flowing; a sleek and smooth texture adds to the beauty. If you have an oily scalp, use a dry shampoo to make it right. Dry shampoo can help you tame your tresses in a few minutes. Apply some leave-in conditioner to get that extra shine.

5. ADD SOME MAGIC TO YOUR EYES

It does not take more than a few minutes to add some color to your eyes. Usually, during video calls, the camera is at eye level. This means your eyes will be in focus most of the time. So adding some nude shade of eye shadow can instantly make your eyes look bigger and brighter. The shades that work for almost all of us are nudes, browns, and mild blush pinks. Even if you don't highlight any other features except for the eyes, you will look gorgeous.

6. FACE MISTS TO MAKE YOU FEEL AND LOOK FRESH ALL DAY LONG

Back-to-back video calls and meetings can be dull and depressing. And when it comes to your makeup, it will start wearing off at the end of the first call. To help you revive your fresh look, we suggest spraying some fresh face mists. This is a wonderful product that refreshes your mood and livens you up. Look for fragrances such as citrus, aqua, or aloe.

All our organs need periodic detox and care; why should our skin be treated any different? After all, it is our body's largest organ. It protects us from harsh external conditions and keeps the interiors in place. Since this organ is exposed to the external environment all day, every day, it then makes sense to give it some attention to keep it functioning correctly.

Why should I care about Skincare?

Skincare has been looked down on as a vanity in recent years. A person who pays attention to his/her body is labeled as a narcissist. But you need to understand that everyday work, busy schedules, and a hectic and unhealthy lifestyle take a toll on your body. The symptoms of weak health manifest on first your skin, before on any other part of the body. Time indeed takes its toll on us, but pre-mature wrinkles, dull skin, sun damage, and some severe conditions such as eczema and psoriasis can be prevented and treated with a proper care routine.

How do I Begin a Proper and Ideal Routine?

Before designing a regime, you need to figure your skin type. The different types include - oily, dry, sensitive, and combination skin. Also, you need to check for any other issues that you would want to address. You need to understand that there is no set regime for everyone because we are all different. Meaning what works for your family or friends might not be the best solution for you.

What is the Basic Skincare Regime?

Since the routine depends on the skin type, we have put together a primary practice that will work for everyone. It includes -

For morning ritual

1. Cleansing

To cleanse, you need to invest in a sulfate-free cleanser. These cleansers are mild and do not entirely remove the natural oils, leaving you feeling smooth and soft. A good cleanser removes the excess oil and grime without drying you out.

2. Toning

Stay clear of toners that contain alcohol. Alcoholic toners are harsh and will lead to dryness. You can use natural toners such as rose water. And if you are someone with dry skin, you can skip this step.

3. Moisturizing

Moisturizers help in hydration. Use a moisturizer that contains SPF to give you protection from the sun. There are different types of moisturizers for different skin types. Before you choose one, remember that it is better to choose a natural product that is organic and are non-comedogenic.

For Night-Time

1. Cleansing

You can use the same cleanser that you used in the morning. If you wear makeup, you will need to wipe off every bit of makeup and dirt using cleansing oil and wash off the rest with the cleanser.

2. Apply Serum

Anti-oxidant serums are rich in nutrients formulated to nourish your face. Check for ingredients such as Vitamin C, algae extracts, and resveratrol.

3. Eye Cream

People who have puffy eyes or dark circles will benefit from using a suitable eye cream.

4. Moisturizing

For better nourishment at night, choose a water-based moisturizer that will offer hydration without clogging the pores.

Both men and women love to look good. A man's way of looking dapper is to buff up, whereas women like to play with colors and enhance their appearance. Makeup should not be seen as something that helps you hide your flaws (though it does) but as something that helps in improving your features. It should blend in with your natural looks instead of making you look like an entirely different person.

You can use cosmetics to feel confident and inviting. But there are several other benefits of using makeup which is explained below -

1. You feel good, positive, and confident

We are not being vain or superficial here. But admit it, don't you feel happy and positive after a makeover? When you are well-dressed and have done your hair and makeup, it gives you the confidence to take on the world. Cosmetics have colors and fragrances that make us feel great; hence, we get tempted to glam up whenever we have a special meeting or an event to attend to.

2. Protects the skin

Moisturizer, primer, and foundation form a protective layer and prevent the dust and dirt from getting into your pores and clogging them. This barrier created on the surface protects the surface from getting exposed to the sun's rays and dust. We agree that there will not be total protection; however, the harm will be limited.

3. Therapeutic and creative activity

From the time when we were kids, we all had an inclination towards playing with colors. It felts refreshing and exciting to draw, paint and have fun with crayons. This activity is also not so different except that we are using cosmetics to paint our faces! Whenever you feel stressed out, go to your dressing room, use those products, and see how you feel.

4. It makes you look stunning in photos and on video calls

Photos preserve moments. And so we make an extra effort to look fabulous in pics. But the thing with photos is that our natural features sometimes don't appear noticeable. This is where you can use some eyeliner, lip gloss, or highlighter to make your features appear prominent and make your face look vibrant. Similarly, given that we now spend most of the time in the virtual HD world, we need the help of cosmetics to make us look smart and lively for video interactions.

5. It is an Excellent me-time ritual

The time you spend applying makeup is the time where you can be all by yourself. Taking care of our needs should be a priority. And everyday skincare is a great way to attend to yourself. We all need time to focus on ourselves before attending to the needs of the world.

Makeup has been a central part of our lives since early civilizations. We don't need to go overboard but keep a minimal style. Use products that are suitable for your skin type. The cosmetics should make you feel and look fantastic. Private Label Cosmetics Manufacturer makes some of the best products.

A beauty product that you should never use is soap. Even if you're using it regularly, it will definitely worsen your condition. Soap will create more bacteria, which in turn may trigger skin infections.

Sunlight is also an enemy of your skin. Don't expose yourself to the sun or shine it too much. Too much exposure can result in sunburn. Try to limit your time outdoors during the day, especially if you live in the city.

You need to make sure that you keep yourself hydrated, and use skincare products that can hydrate your skin. Use products that are not harmful to your skin, and that won't cause you to get acne.

You should also try to take care of your skin. Because your skin is exposed to the elements, you should always use clean clothes and clothes. Wash your hair every day, and use lotion on your skin to make sure that your skin is moisturized.

Drinking lots of water is also a good idea. Not only will you have clearer skin, but your body will also be more healthy. You'll feel lighter and healthier, and you'll be more likely to maintain your looks and beauty.

Today I'm going to be sharing with you 4 aphasia types, and 3 alternative medicines that may help you. This is a condition where brain damage impairs a person's ability to communicate. Sure this usually involves speech, but may also include understanding others and even reading or writing.

The first class is something called non-fluent and is a result of damage around the left front area of the brain. This involves speaking in very short sentences and possibly leaving words out. This is why it's non-fluent because the speech is choppy. Apart from speech, comprehending what others are saying may also be limited to a degree. If someone has this condition they usually are aware of their broken speech, and labor intensive to improve upon their communication.

The second one is called fluent and is a result of damage in the middle left side of the brain. Can you guess how it's different than being non-fluent? Yep, when someone is fluent they oftentimes can speak in long fluent sentences, but there are some holes in it. A few words may be wrong or unrecognizable. Another big difference is that the person isn't aware of his speech impairment.

The most severe type of this disease is when it's global. Usually, it takes place right after someone has had a stroke and results in huge challenges to speaking. Some individuals could understand zero communications or be mute. Others can understand a few sounds and perhaps speak only a few words.

Lastly, there is something called primary progressive where a person over time, gradually loses their ability to communicate. A major cause of this ailment would be shrinkage with a part of the brain that helps control speech. These are the frontal and temporal lobes. You might be wondering why a person's brain gets smaller. A big cause is that a person doesn't get enough of the vitamins and minerals their body needs.

At the University of Oxford, researchers tested over 150 elderly patients. Some went into a group where they were given vitamin B12, B6, and folic acid. A second group only received placebo pills. After 2 years researchers noted that the group that took B vitamins had significantly less brain shrinkage. These vitamins not only help with the ability to communicate but with an insane amount of other abilities such as skincare, preventing ailments, and helping with memory.

If you're relying on food to get all the vitamins and minerals you need, then this is risky. Our food today simply has fewer nutrients than it did in the past. Farmers use chemicals to help grow crops quicker so they can earn more money. This helps them with money but makes the crops have fewer vitamins and minerals. A better idea to ensure you're getting these important vitamins is through a dietary supplement.

Another alternative medicine to help the brain is omega 3 fats. In fact, 60% of your brain is made of fat. This healthy fat can reduce brain shrinkage, protect the brain and maybe even improve it. In a study at the Translational Stroke, Research scientists tested giving omega 3 to rats after the onset of a stroke. The result was that omega 3 reduced swelling, improved cognitive function, and the area of destroyed tissue was reduced by around 60%.

Also, something called primrose oil that has a high concentration of fatty acids helps control hormones and improve nerve function. This can all help send signals back and forth improving how the brain operates.

As you can see supplements can be extremely helpful, yet can be very risky as well. The industry is unregulated and this means it's easy for companies to produce a low-quality product that may hurt someone.

To sum everything up the 4 aphasia types would be fluent, non-fluent, global and primary progressive. To help prevent and treat this condition you can look into taking a good multivitamin supplement, omega 3, or primrose oil dietary supplement.
